MN Group Launches "Unfiltered" Look at Tobacco Tactics
Posted by Partnership for Prevention at 1:37 PMClearWay Minnesota has launched an new multimedia campaign that shines a spotlight on how the tobacco industry is adopting new tactics and products to keep people hooked on nicotine and tobacco products.
The foundation of the campaign is a report titled Unfiltered: A Revealing Look at Today’s Tobacco Industry. Other elements - including an interactive website, grassroots toolkit and community and media outreach - can all be found at the website. The campaign also includes television spots, bus sides, print and online banner ads running throughout the state of Minnesota. "It is very clear from their marketing practices, public relations and new product development that the tobacco industry hasn’t given up its efforts to hook new customers and hold on to those already addicted," says David Willoughby, CEO of ClearWay. "We’re asking people to pay attention and talk about what kind of influence tobacco marketing has in their communities."
